On 27th June 2018, the best and brightest of British business gathered at the Guildhall to celebrate London’s biggest success stories at the London Evening Standard Business Awards, hosted by Victoria Coren-Mitchell.
The first category of the evening was the SME and Start-Up of the Year 2018 – and the winner was MedShr! The Evening Standard was impressed by MedShr’s 500,000-strong community of doctors worldwide discussing clinical cases and medical images, and its impact in crisis zones. “This is the new frontier of medicine, on a smartphone.”
Founder and CEO of MedShr, Dr Asif Qasim accepted the award, thanking the Evening Standard and Esme, as well as the doctors on the platform. “I think they’re having an impact on millions of patients around the world.”
“Never has it been more important to get behind UK business and really support everybody across different sectors that they represent in what they’re doing and get behind the UK economy,” said Richard Kerton, Founder and MD of Esme Loans – sponsor of the awards.
Our fellow winners of the evening across their different categories were: Lloyds Banking Group, Tideway, Quintain, Working Title Films, Amazon, Improbable, Nex Group – CME Group, Soho House, Debbie Wosskow, Fever-Tree and Royal Mail!
We’d like thank the wonderful MedShr community, without whom all of this would not be possible. Thank you for supporting medical education and helping to improve patient care worldwide!
